What is a Digital Audit and Why Do You Need One?
I’m sure most of us are familiar with the word “audit.” An audit can be used in a lot of situations on both the personal and business level. But today we’re going to focus on a digital audit, what it is and why you might need one.
A digital audit is a lengthy and thorough process of analyzing your platforms and current presence. It involves research and analysis to create a roadmap for the next steps and how to improve. It is important to review what platforms you’re using, strategies and the metrics they’re performing. Side note, consider the amount of time you’re spending on each platform. For example, say you have a hair salon whose target audience is female, 20’s something and fashion-forward. You might find your Instagram account is very active while Facebook hardly has any engagement. It could be a good idea to consider spending less time on Facebook or deleting that presence. Remember, you don’t have to be everywhere.
It is also important to look at your website or email marketing, if you have it. The goal of effective digital marketing is how all the platforms work together for your business. It is key to remember not to overwhelm yourself, but also not to put all your eggs in one basket. Some pointers that you should consider are your industry, trends, and your target audience.
I highly recommend always performing mini audits on your digital campaigns to make sure you’re on the right track. However, if you’d like to set up FREE discovery call to learn more about our in-depth digital audit, please reach out to bayrockdigitalmarketing@gmail.com.
