Update Those Blogs and Galleries!

Blogs and galleries are wonderful resources for your business and website! They work as places to give you an opportunity to showcase your work and educate potential clients on what you can do. I personally get so excited when I see a blog or gallery on a website, I love that I can get a deeper inside look and scope into the business. However, having an existing blog or gallery that’s not regularly updated can be problematic for some people. I get it, this life is crazy busy but it’s important to try to make sure these two places are updated if you have them. Here’s a few ways to do that.

Updating a blog and gallery takes time and it requires strong content and adds value. I don’t suggest going crazy with updates, especially when they’re first getting started. I blog every week but that’s because I love it. If you have a blog but it’s not really your game or you don’t have time, just maybe do a monthly post. The important part of this is to make sure your clients see you’re still in the loop. It’s also good for new visitors to your site to see that commitment to maintaining the site and brand awareness. And another perk is, blogs can also help with SEO!

Galleries definitely have more wiggle room and don’t require as much maintenance. However, it’s still a good idea to check every so often and see if updates are needed. For example, if you have a business that is heavily influenced by trends, you’re going to want to make sure you’re updating that gallery. Let’s say you own a hair salon, it’s a good idea to pay close attention to what’s in the gallery. Are you including updated styles? Am I showcasing a variety of cuts, colors, treatments and styles? Maybe some before/after pictures? These are all questions that will help you maintain a well-versed gallery that people will really enjoy looking through and maybe refer others to check out!

I hope this helped provide some guidance to updating your blogs and galleries! Remember, I understand how crazy our lives can get, so it can seem like we don’t have time for these updates. But I also want you to know that updating these areas of your business can be very helpful.
