Tips for Seasonal Marketing

Happy fall! A new season is always an exciting time. Besides the start of fall, we’re also approaching the final three months of the year. It’s crazy to think, but the holiday season will be here before we know it. As business owners, it’s a good idea to stay attuned to seasonal marketing. During the summer I did a blog post on summer marketing, discussing what to focus on. However, every season has different shifts. Here’s some ideas for your fall marketing:

Plan: A new season is always a good time to set new goals. One goal you might have as a business owner is to start planning your marketing. I always say marketing can be a lot to handle but planning it out can make it so much easier. I like using Trello to plan my clients and my own marketing. Trello offers a free opinion and paid plans with more features. If you don’t want to think about using another platform, documents are also effective. If you don’t feel like a document will work for your needs, a good ol’ pen and notebook can work. The important part is that you’re organizing your thoughts.

Brand: A new season can be a fun time to relaunch or rebrand! A lot of people get really excited for the fall, so your businesses’ relaunch might be another thing for them to look forward to! I relaunched Bay Rock this summer and had a small celebration. This might be a fun idea for you to consider. Even though it can be too late to do a bigger rebrand, it’s still nice to celebrate some changes and improvements to your business.

Prepare: I know some people don’t want to hear this, but now’s a time to start thinking about holiday marketing. We all know holiday preparation is getting earlier and earlier whether you agree with it or not. Take this time to think about offers and promos. Maybe you want to do a starter package for the holiday season? Follow trends and see how you can leverage this year’s sales climate. Consider gift certificates or ways to make your products/services more giftable.

I hope this helped provide some resources to navigate through these next few months. The summer season can cause a dip for many businesses, so it’s important to remember some key points to get back in the game for the last few months.
