Pause and Reflect

On Sunday I went to a yoga class and a sound bath. For those of you who don’t know what a sound bath is, let me tell you how amazing it is. It’s a meditation practice where you listen to relaxing sounds from percussion instruments. It shifts your focus and regulates your body.

I went to the yoga studio I used to take classes at called, Prana Yoga in Denville for this two-hour pause away from all the stresses of daily life. After this was, over I felt amazing and renewed(spring renewal was the name of the program). It couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.

You see, I’ve been really busy. I'm not complaining, it’s all good stuff but it’s still a lot. It’s a lot of balls in the air and grownup decisions being made. I’m challenging myself and developing as an entrepreneur. I’m doing all this while maintaining a good relationship with family and friends which is vital to any of my successes.

This isn’t about me though, I’m just an example. This is a message to all my entrepreneur friends, take that time to pause and reflect. Go to a yoga or meditation class. Take that walk. Go to that dinner. Book a trip. Try and let go of that guilt we feel. It’s not neglecting your business, it’s self-care for you and that’s huge for your business. We are not machines. We are humans who can get burnt out if we have too much going on nonstop. Take that time to reflect, you will be so happy that you did that for yourself and your business!
