Branding and Your Website

I’ve talked about this many times but branding is a huge part of your marketing efforts. Anytime you put something out there, people are seeing it. Whether it’s only a few people, hundreds, thousands, or millions, branding matters.

Websites are like the digital home of your business. It’s the place where a lot of your potential clients are going to visit. That being said, it’s imperative that your site is well-branded.

I recently launched another website for my inclusion consulting business. I had to take a deep dive into this new site. Some of the points I had to consider are format, slogan logo, colors, and messaging. This process looked a lot different than Bay Rock. I had to consider my audience and what this business is about.

Since I’m working with a population that struggles with mental health and/or is neurodiverse, there are a few points I had to consider. Let’s talk about colors first.

Greens and blues are relaxing and are associated with nature. I wanted to provide that sense of tranquility and approachability. In contrast, Bay Rock uses vibrant colors that might be overstimulating in the mental health and neurodiverse population.

Logos should also align with your brand. I chose a simple but bold gold circle for Bay Rock. That simple logo provokes a lot more messaging than one may think. Slogans are a few words that capture what YOUR business will do for OTHER PEOPLE.

This can be a stressful process but it’s also a lot of fun! It’s like a marriage of psychology and art. Branding is a way for you to broadcast your business to the world. If this is something you are struggling with, please reach out to bayrockdigitalmarketing@gmail.com to learn how we may be able to work together. I can also refer other people who know other parts of the branding process.
