Optimize your Site’s Vision
As a digital entrepreneur, two types of clients come to me for web services. 1. Someone who doesn't have a website but would like one. And 2. Someone who has a site but needs to update, edit, enhance and optimize. My motto is your website is truly never finished. Even people with the most high-tech sites require continued efforts to maintain. Here’s some ways to create your vision and how to optimize it.
So if you currently don’t have a site, it’s a good idea to really think about getting one. Websites are like the home of your business. Even if you’re showing up regularly and strongly on social media, it’s vital to have a site. As you continue to promote your business, traditionally and digitally, at some point potential clients are going to check out your site. It is so important that you carefully plan out your site’s vision, review it to any team members and present to a digital marketer or web designer.
As you’re going through the process of planning your site, it is key that you come up with ways to optimize. Once your site is ready to go live, it’s going to need continued maintenance.
So you have an established business, great clients and a strong vision and your branding is on point. But you have a site that is difficult to navigate, out-dated and doesn’t truly speak to your brand. What do you do?
It’s going to take time but go through it page by page. Read and re-read every paragraph, review every picture. Ask yourself, is this working for me and my business? If not, make those changes. Potential clients want to use a site that is easy to navigate. Your visitors should be able to easily find everything they need on your site. Search engines look for site optimization, that’s why it's key to stay up to date on SEO. And what is important to you as the business owner? YOUR vision and YOUR story. The goal for you is tell your story through the site. So when your planning out your site or thinking about edits, remember- navigation, optimization and vision.
