How to Tell Your Story Online!
I get it, digital marketing is HARD! It’s time-consuming, exhausting and at times can even be frustrating. It can feel very robotic. Going digital, enhancing or maintaining your presence often times feels like a constant battle of “figuring it out.” It can be a challenge to see what strategies really optimize.
But here’s the issue, it’s SO important to be visible. As much as we want to deny it, most businesses have to be online. But how do you do that? How do you make it work? And what can you do to make it feel less robotic and more personable?
Tell your story. Build community (even if it’s completely virtual) and curate content that aligns with your brand. At Bay Rock, we focus heavily on humanizing technology and digital wellness. Yes, like any marketing campaign we want to increase exposure and sales. Tracking analytics is a big part of our process.
But as an entrepreneur, I think as a society we’re in desperate need of connection. Let’s face it, the good ol’ days of traditional engagement is getting harder and harder to find. Most of us are online, engaging with each other and with businesses. It really doesn’t have to be so non-personable but it is and continues to get worse.
Truly connect with your audience and other businesses. Focus on all different ways to engage with your audience. Ask questions about their goals and weekend plans. Include your followers in you and your businesses’ journey. Don’t just focus on “getting a lot of followers” but rather the value both sides bring to your presence.
Tell your story through your posts. It’s a good idea to brain storm who you are and what your business is all about. Go forward with that. What are the different parts of your business? Share those offers with your audience in a strategic and personable way. Get them to connect with and LOVE your brand!
