Be a Life-Long Learner

So on Saturday night, I impulsively purchased a course on SEO from Moz. https://moz.com I spent my Saturday night completing this course on and off(of course while watching some funny TV.) And wow, did I learn a lot! It really made me think about the importance of being a life longer learner-even when you’re an expert!

So many people are stuck in a way of thinking. Hash out 13 years of forced education, go to college for four years to get a good job and done. However, reality is much different. In order to stay on top of your game, you need to be in a perpetual state of education and growth.

I truly believe we can learn something new everyday. People gain experience everyday from whatever the situation may be. But taking aside the time to learn new skills is huge. Take courses, listen to podcasts, watch webinars and lunch and learns, go to conferences. And read, read and read!

Regardless of what industry you’re in, it’s ever-changing and your clients will expect you to know what’s new. Be prepared to enter those conversations. Not only will you satisfy your clients, it also personally feels good to gain knowledge!
