The Importance of Maintaining a Blog

Do you have a blog for your business? Blogging is a great way to stay connected with your audience. Many businesses incorporate some form of a blog on their website. However, sometimes it doesn’t get updated regularly. Although it could be time consuming, updating your blog helps build a stronger presence on your website and beyond.

I typically suggest to my clients to create a blog post once or twice a month. It’s important to note to not overwhelm yourself or your audience with too much but staying consistent increases their interest in your content. It also helps to pick a day and time to further build that interest. When is your audience most active? What times do your email marketing platforms suggest? How can you optimize your emails? What titles catch your audience’s attention?

Staying consistent with your blog can also work with your social media marketing as it provides you with solid and consistent content for your channels. What do your followers want to hear about? Why are they following you, to begin with? Think about what your business offers and various topics you can cover on your blog. Are there important topics but your audience doesn’t have as much insight? Be a thought leader in your space with a high caliber of knowledge in these areas!
