How to Optimize Your Relationship with Technology

Technology is overwhelming. It’s all around us and we use it for almost every area of our lives. My first blog explored i-wellness, a topic that is an integral part of our brand and services. The concept of i-wellness is about developing a positive and optimized relationship with technology, in our business and personal lives. As a digital marketer, I can tell you that it is more important than ever to develop that positive relationship.

As humans, it is extremely imperative that we’re mindful about our current technology and upcoming advancements. It is clear that we need to be control of technology, not the other way around. But sometimes it seems like it controls us-A LOT. We can’t have that.

We need to be aware of the effects technology is having on ourselves and others. If you’re finding yourself experiencing low-moods, irritable, overly comparing and “in a fog”, it might be a good idea to rethink your approach. Digitalization has so many benefits but issues like this create major roadblocks to successs.

It might be helpful to brainstorm a new digital marketing plan if you're experiencing some of this stuff. Focusing on other platforms or changing your approach to content can be beneficial. Comparing other businesses’ digitalization journeys will only cause you to feel more disappointed.

As business owners, we all want our content to get lots of “likes” and engagement. And as a digital marketing company, that is the goal of the industry for every piece of content we post. However, sometimes this doesn’t happen. But if you are consistently telling your brand’s story online, that alone is a win.

I truly believe digital marketing is a science and art. It’s technical and creative too. It has psychological and sociological elements. And it’s all about branding. We are faced with a lot when we digitalize our businesses.

This is why I use the i-wellness approach. All of our services are built on this foundation and this is a ongoing conversation I have with my clients. If you’d like to learn more about our services with the i-wellness approach, please reach out to bayrockdigitalmarketing@gmail.com.
