Happy Holidays!

I can’t believe I’m sitting by my tree writing this, but here we are. Christmas is coming and I don’t even have the words. Christmas 2023. I’m still sad Christmas 2022 is over, it’s just so crazy to think. What a year it’s been.

Like every year in both business and life, some things didn’t go as planned. However, others did and turned out even better and that’s what I’m going to focus on. I’m very happy to say I stayed consistent with blogging and my newsletter every week with the exception of our summer vacation and Thanksgiving. I can tell you there was a few times I was cramming in a blog from my sick bed. It was tough but also felt amazing to be that determined to get it done.

Another huge accomplishment was rebranding my business. Early on this year, it started to become evident that I wasn’t super crazy over the direction of Bay Rock and it needed some readjusting. Remember, this business was started in a crisis and during those times there’s no solid plan, ideas just fly around. Basically, this rebrand meant laser-focusing on who we are at the core and also changing the approach to our services. We are still “Bay Rock Digital Marketing”, a marketing company but now we’re more focused on the branding and storytelling side rather than hardcore marketing.

With all this being said, however, honestly, the best part is YOU. Whether you work with me, coach me, attend networking events with me, regularly read my news letter, engage with my social media or just ask me “how’s business going” you are what keeps me going. '

Entrepreneurship is isolating, especially in the first five years. It’s not the glitz and glam society and social media makes it out to be-even when it is, it’s not. Even people who are on top and have it all are isolated in this community. This community has higher rates of mental illness and addiction. It’s a lot of stressful mornings, burnout afternoons and scary nights. It’s a lot of questioning, what am I doing here and what’s is wrong with me?! But having all of you in this journey makes it amazing and all worth it.

So thank you! Thank you for being there for me and showing interest in what I do. I love to share this with all of you and I’m lookin forward to continuing on together in 2024. Merry Christmas and have a happy new year!
